Organizing Files for a Multi-Material Campaign
Organizing Files for a Multi-Material Campaign: details to clarify
When a campaign involves several formats, files can multiply quickly. Start with one project folder and separate approved items, working versions and references. Outdated files should be archived or clearly marked.
Adopt a simple naming convention: campaign name, material type, language or variant, date and status. Avoid using “final” until the document has received all required approvals.
Designate one person to manage feedback. They can consolidate comments and send a clear list rather than multiple conflicting annotations. Also keep a record of decisions and the approved version.
Shared visuals used across multiple pieces should be checked in each format. A logo or text that works on a brochure may not suit a banner or label.
Before transferring files, confirm the secure channel, formats and limits with the people responsible for the project. Don’t send confidential documents through an unapproved space.
